David has been creating homemade pizzas for our family for years, and my kids routinely request “Daddy’s pizza” over our local pizzeria, which is great for the budget, as you can prepare a plain cheese for about $3.00! Recently, David put together a delicious concoction that I have to share!
Ham and Artichoke Pizza
1 pkg Martha White pizza crust mix
canola oil
pizza sauce (we use Great Value)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
marinated artichoke hearts chopped (blot to remove excess oil and water)
1/4 small purple onion, diced finely
1 small tomato, diced (blot to remove excess water)
feta cheese, sprinkled to taste
3 slices Black Forest deli ham
grated Parmesan
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Follow directions on back of Martha White package to prepare dough. Optional: coat the dough ball with canola oil and allow to rise in a warm place for a few minutes. Form crust onto pizza pan or stone. Bake crust for about 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce to 1/2 inch from crust’s edge. Arrange the rest of ingredients on crust. Add more of any ingredient if you prefer. Bake pizza about 7 minutes at 475 degrees or til done. Garnish with fresh or prepared Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
