Going through my recipe box recently, I realized one of our all-time favorites was not on the blog…Hot Bacon Swiss Dip! You can tell by the name that it has to be good;)
My mom has been making Hot Bacon Swiss Dip since I was in college, and for the life of us, we cannot recall where the original recipe came from. It is requested year-round, a crowd-pleaser, and easy to put together.
Hot Bacon Swiss Dip
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup real mayo
1 cup grated Swiss cheese (1/4 lb. block)
2 T. chopped green onions
8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Ritz or other round butter crackers
Using mixer, combine softened cream cheese, mayo, Swiss cheese, and green onion. Place mixture into a small, greased baking dish. (oval or 8×8, for example).
Top with crumbled bacon. Bake uncovered for about 15-20 minutes.
Serve with round butter crackers.
Take in all the gooey goodness!!

Oh yum! I’ll be trying this very soon! Every good hot dip starts with cream cheese and mayo, but I don’t think I have ANY dips that are topped with bacon! I guess I haven’t been living right. That’s all about to change. 🙂 Thanks for posting.
